What this is all about ≫

Hello,
 and welcome.

I am a 25 year old college student who had chosen an astrophysics major to as the field to pursue, then recently figured out that academia, specifically the university system, is not built for the way I learn most proficiently, and will lose a lot of the benefits that come with the way my mind works if I continue a singular field degree because my mind connects a lot of different pieces of information together and draws unique conclusions. I use a curiosity-based learning behavior, which is like link clicking around Wikipedia from entry to entry. I like to ask questions, even when the answer is of a complex nature and must be understood by beginning at the basics, and the research and journey to answer my question teach me all I need to do to quench my curiosity thirst. Many of the things I know come from such quests, and these explorations are what have risen me above layman in my understanding of many fields.
